FAQs about Teeth in a Day
1. Are the new teeth removable?
No, the teeth fitted on a day are screwed into dental implants and are fixed. They can be removed by a dentist for maintenance purposes or repair.
2. Are my new teeth permanent?
No. After a 4 to 6 month period of gum healing and implant integration a new set of highly aesthetic final teeth will be made. This normally takes 3-4 weeks and does not involve surgery.
3. Do I need to spend any time without teeth?
No. The main advantage of Teeth in a day concept is that new set of fixed teeth is fitted on a day of surgery. This is procedure takes a whole day with the surgery in the morning and fitting of the final teeth in the afternoon.
4. Can I come and have a treatment on my first visit?
No. As any other dental treatment Teeth in a day concept requires thorouhg clinical and radiogrpahic assessment and treatment planning. This however does note take more than 2-3 visits.
5. Is it painful?
No the treatment carried out under higly effective loval anaesthetic and sedation is also avaliable. In combination there is minimal to none discomfort during the procedure. During recovery period as with any surgery there is certain degree of discomfort, swelling and brushing that can be controlled well with painkillers.
